boycott Perez Hilton?
Mario "Perez Hilton" Lavandeira has made
a career out of hurting other
people to gain fame and money. He is not just another blogger
posting his opinions for fun--he is now
part of the mainstream media.
The majority of his readers are young women. He
blatantly manipulates them into listening to the music he wants them
to (from which he makes money), liking the celebrities that he likes
(only those that pay homage to
him), and even voting for the candidates he wants to win.
Every time we visit his website or watch his TV show we are
rewarding him and financing his efforts to continue manipulating his
audience. If you don't share Perez Hilton's views and don't
want young women to be manipulated into thinking like him, you have a
choice: boycott Perez Hilton!
Most
popular reasons to boycott Perez Hilton

Barack Obama
As you
will learn below, Mario Lavandeira is a racist. This may be
why he is such a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton. In
typical fashion, this campaign season he has used his blog to try to
discredit Barack Obama, posting malicious rumors about him and
parroting subversive Clinton campaign press releases. Many of
his vicious posts about Barack Obama have been timed to affect
important primary elections. Perez Hilton's posts have
implied that Barack Obama and his supporters are communists, that Obama
plagiarizes--even after it was clear that a friend had suggested some
lines to Obama, and that Obama shares the controversial views of
various religious figures. You can expect these lies and
attacks to continue throughout the primary season, and this is the main
reason for our boycott.
2. Jessica Alba, and other celebrities who stand up for
themselves
Perez
Hilton posts lies and rumors about celebrities all the time.
One of his primary targets is Jessica Alba, whom he
frequently accuses of being ashamed of her latin heritage.
The truth is that Jessica Alba is a very proud Latina, and
her only offense was tu refuse to have her picture taken with Perez
Hilton at a club. Ever since, Perez Hilton has attacked her.
He does this to every celebrity who does not play his game.
3. Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, and other bands who don't suck
Did you
know that Perez Hilton is in music business? He has a
contract with a record label to promote artists. He uses his
blog to get young women to buy records from the artists he selects
(because he can make money from this), and attacks other bands and
musicians in an attempt to make them uncool and to open the way for his
own "artists." He recently attacked Radiohead and NIN.
What
you can do
1. Boycott him. Our
boycott consists of not
visiting the Perez Hilton website until after the election, November 5,
2008. Discover the many celebrity gossip sites out there
which are much more interesting than Perez Hilton's. If you
are a regular reader this is a great opportunity for you to practice
self-control, and to purify your soul. Perez Hilton gets
advertising dollars every time someone visits his website, and you will
be depriving him of that money when you stop visiting his site.
You will see how after a week of not visiting the site you
won't even think about it anymore. Toxins will abandon your
body. You will lose weight. If you were losing
hair, it will start growing back. Your sins will be forgiven.
2. Help Barack Obama become

The truth about Mario "Perez Hilton" Lavandeira

Racist
Mario Lavandeira (“Perez Hilton”) is a
Cuban-American gay man, born and
raised in Miami, FL. I am also part Cuban American, and I
know that white Miami Cubans simply do not like black people.
Racism is alive and well in the Americas, but it is
particularly
prevalent among white Cuban exiles. Many
of them
will admit it, just ask. There are many reasons for this. One
is the obvious historical reason that blacks in Cuba were considered
inferior and whites controlled the economy and government, as in the
rest of America. Another big reason is the Cuban
Revolution. The Revolution was supported by the majority of
Cubans (who are not white) and led to the exile of thousands of elite
Cubans at the time (business owners, government supporters,
gangsters)—most of whom were white. White Miami Cubans simply
don’t like black people, and Mario Lavandeira is one of them.
Perez Hilton takes pictures of himself
all the time with
celebrities. How many pictures are there with black
celebrities? Unless he was there for work—i.e., to make
money—you won’t find him near a black celebrity. However, you
will find him hanging out with white celebrities all the time, just for
fun. His best friend is the whitest girl in the world, Paris
Hilton, a big fan of the n-word.
There is no doubt in my mind that Perez
Hilton’s opposition to Barack
Obama is motivated in part by his typical white Cuban prejudices
against black people.
Anti-gay
The 1992-2000 Bill and Hillary Clinton
administration implemented the
“Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy in the military, which forbids gay and
lesbian Americans from serving openly in the military. The
policy has destroyed the lives and careers of many members of the
military who must choose between remaining closeted or losing their
careers. As a New York Senator,
Hillary Clinton
opposes an amendment to state marriage laws that would grant
equal
rights to gay and straight citizens. In addition,
the Clintons supported a federal law banning
marriage equality for gay
and lesbian Americans nationwide. As a
result, many
states passed anti-gay marriage legislation,
delaying
equality for
millions of American for many years.
Why would a gay man, like Mario
Lavandeira, be such a strong supporter
of Hillary Clinton, to the point of upsetting much of his
audience? Because at heart he doesn’t like gay people
either. He has been criticized by many voices of reason in
the gay community for “exposing” or “outing” many
celebrities. A gay man who respects other gay men
and lesbians understands that coming out is a very personal
decision. He would not “expose” them,
as if there was
something wrong with them.
Note that Lavandeira called for the
firing of Isaiah Washington, a
black man, from the TV series Grey’s Anatomy for making homophobic
remarks, but
ignored racist and homophobic remarks made
by
his white
friend Paris Hilton.
Lavandeira’s support for Hillary Clinton
is a symptom of his homosexual
self-hate.
Just plain dumb
I don’t want to say that he is stupid
because, with his silly blog, he
makes a lot more money than most people. But we all know that
what he does doesn’t require talent, it only requires a willingness to
go lower than others are willing to go. Moreover, Lavandeira
has a history of believing and posting very stupid things on
perezhilton.com. One recent example is his announcement that
Fidel Castro died. One of his dumb pals in Miami told him
that Miami police were preparing to make an announcement about it, and
he believed it to the point of maintaining that Fidel Castro was dead
even after numerous new pictures of Fidel emerged as the days
progressed, some with him holding the day’s newspaper. How
uninformed and fanatically anti-Cuban does a person have to be to
believe that the official announcement of the death of Cuba’s president
would be made by the local police department in Miami?
